THE BEST 20 BUCKS I HAVE SPENT IN A VERY LONG TIME!!

 It is no secret that I love animals.  I love them so much I have a whole house full of them.

2 cats; one old shorthaired guy who sheds like Pigpen from Peanuts, and one long haired gal who sheds really heavy twice a year.

2 dogs; 1 old cockapoo with the wavy no-shed coat, and 1 little sassy Sheltie who throws hair and sheds undercoat like it is her job.

2 Ball pythons. a biggie 8year old female Fancy ball and a 7 year old Ghost male. thank goodness they dont have hair and only shed about every 4-6 weeks-they are an easy clean up.

It really doesnt help that we live in a high desert area with lots of dust and wind and tumbleweed, my house was in constant state of fur and dust bunnies.  I sweep and vacuum regularly, but I noticed my stair and carpeted areas and rugs were getting ratty, worn down and dull.  I thought my vacuum was doing an OK job, but then I was up late one night scrolling through IG and saw an ad for a tool called UPROOT!

my stairs and rugs are like brand new!! There was so much hair trapped  that it was weighing them down and making them look old and worn out.  There was SO MUCH HAIR I was embarrassed!  

My son uses it on his bed spread, I have used it on carpets, rugs, upholstered chairs and more.  Depending on the angle you position the tool it can be used on clothing too! It doesnt damage the fibers either!

MY GO-TO, CANT LIVE WITHOUT PRODUCT RIGHT NOW

A few months ago I decided to take charge of my health. Many years of bad habits, bad food and bad decisions  has left me more than enough extra pounds on my frame, and my share of health annoyances. Instead of one giant change all at once, I started making small steps.   First I started taking a superfoods nutritional supplement and collagen, then I started tweaking my diet a little(cutting out pop, and following a fat burning diet), and taking the dog for a longer walk 

.  

Then I realized I wasnt getting nearly enough water.  I made it one of my goals to drink a MINIMUM of 6 cups a day (still less than recommended minimum), which for me was difficult because I was lucky if I got  4 or 5 in a day on a regular basis.   I mean All I drank was water, just not enough. SO I decided to drink 1 more cup than normal every day.  Once I got into the habit of 6 cups I made it 7, then once that was a habit I made it 8. Then 9, 10, 11, and  12.  This did not happen overnight, it has taken me 3 months to get to where I am at. I decided to work my way up so I could create a healthy habit and give myself a goal to work towards.  Since I live in the desert , hydration is an issue, so am currently trying to get it up to 14 and eventually to a full gallon a day. 

Problem was I didn't have a water bottle that was big enough without having to keep doing refills.  Then I lost count of how many refills I had done, where I was at numbers wise, and then my intake started to slip back down. I invested in a gallon size container, but I didnt like swigging from it like a pirate...or having to pour the water out into a cup to drink.  I love a bottle with a straw.

Then I found this.  GAME CHANGER.   

It is a wide mouth bottle and comes in a variety of pretty colors (Mine is the blue and pink ombre), has a straw (detaches if you dont like it), a click in place lid and dust cover (That actually stays in place), and has a printed timeline and motivational phrases to keep you drinking.  You start at 7am , and if you follow your water levels throughout the day will be able to get your entire gallon in before the day is done!

There is room to add ice or fruit or whatever.  It doesnt have that plastic-y chemical taste that a lot of these water bottles tend to have.   BPA free and leakproof!

30 crazy cool things I want from Amazon STAT!! SEPTEMBER EDITION.

It is no secret that I LOVE amazon. Seriously.  and I LOVE finding some of the fun and quirky stuff they have.   I go to amazon every day and I find one product that I would love and put it on my list. SO my end of the month round up  are the coolest, funniest, weirdest, quirkiest, unusual or most useful things that I have found every day in September.

1.  DINOSAUR TACO HOLDERS.  So we do Taco Tuesdays, and these would be freaking amazing. And how cute is that Brontosaurus??

2.THIS MULTI KITCHEN TOOL. It  is 7 different kitchen tools all in one, and they all stack together in a pretty wine bottle shape.  It's a lemon squeezer, spice grater, funnel, measuring cup, flower vase, egg separator and cheese grater all in one.!  Plus it looks so colorful and fun!

3. WELCOME MAT THAT ISNT VERY WELCOMING.  I hate when the doorbell rings.  Is it a solicitor? Is it girl scout cookies? 15. CERAMIC BUNNY CUPCAKE AND CANDY STAND.  This small ceramic plate is adorable. Perfect for a few little cupcakes or candy cups, a small dish or two.  It is just so cute I cant stand it!! Handmade. NOT dishwasher safe or Microwave safe. SO handwash only (But im just going to use ot for easter decoration!)

16. SMART SPEAKER LION TABLE STAND-  I literally have an echo dot in every room of the house. But they look so plain and boring just sitting there.  I saw this and fell in love.  They have a variety of different animals, but this lion really spoke to me. 17. CERAMIC 3D OCTOPUS MUG.  This caught my eye and I love it. Made of ceramic with a tactile 3D design, , hand wash only not for use in microwave.  But how gorgeous are those tentacles and that color??  Looks like a real octopus.

19. BICYCLE 130TH ANNIVERSARY PLAYING CARDS.   We play a lot of cards in our house, and I LOVE vintage style.  These cards appeal to me in so many ways.   Gorgeous antique looking colors and classic bicycle artwork.  Love them!!

LE CREUSET STONEWARE HONEY POT WITH DIPPER.   I Love Le Creuset, and I love honey.  I do have a honeypot that I got in Italy, but I like it as a decorative item and need an actual honeypot.  I LOVE the look of this and that stamped bee is amazing.  The bright and sunny yellow would look great in my kitchen!

21. ROSE GOLD SET OF MERMAID HANDLE MAKEUP BRUSHES..  10 piece set of rose gold colored makeup brushes with mermaid tail handles.  I dont wear a ton of makeup, and dont really need the brushes but I LOVE rose gold and I love the look of these. I may have to replace my old set with these bad boys. I just want to squeeeeeeee....

22.  THE BRONTE SISTERS BOX SET: PENGUIN CLOTHBOUND CLASSICS.   4 greatest  works of the Bronte sisters in a lavish, clothbound, boxed set.  Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Tenant of Wildfell Hall and Villette.   I LOVE books, especially pretty books and I Love the Bronte sisters books. This is a set I want on my bookshelf ASAP.

23. L'ABEILLE OCCITANE LAVENDER HONEY DROPS.   How gorgeous are these groumet french drops??  With winter coming I always get dry, sore throat, and these drops would be an amazing soother.  Made in Provence France, these gourmet candies have a liquid center of french lavender honey. yuuuummmmmm.

24.  TOTES BIRDS ON A WIRE BUBBLE UMBRELLA.   large 51" canopy, and adorable birds on a wire print. sooooooo cuuuuute!!  Much better than my plain boring umbrella.

25. EWOK DOG COSTUME.   Totally want to get this costume for my dog for Halloween.  How cute is this!!

26. ROSE APOTHECARY HOODIE.   I love the show Schitt$ Creek.  David's (eww David, no) store is called Rose Apothecary and  I know they are all props etc, but if it were a real store I would shop there constantly.  I love this hoodie. Simple Rose Apothecary branding. I am obsessed.

27. SOURDOUGH BREAD KIT.  Back during the major covid 19 shut down and I was out of work, I made a sourdough starter, it is took off. I used starter in everything. All my baked goods, pancakes, rolls, everythig got a dose of sourdough starter discard.  Guess what I didnt make with my starter??  Actual sourdough bread. I saw this kit and want it.  It comes with the basket and scraper and everything you need to make sourdough bread. 

28 MILKSHAKE MAKER.   We live in Idaho, home of many dairy farms.  We have one particular dairy that has their own store with fresh milks, cheeses, curds and the best ice cream!!  I am in there several times a week buying their chocolate milk,  and pints of ice cream. (We are ice cream eaters here!!). I love a good milkshake, and I think they taste better the old fashioned way, which is what this machine does!  Plus I love the color. !

29. FALL PUMKIN DECORATIONS!  I love to decorate for holidays, and these pumkins are super cute. They will make a great tablescape on the kitchen table, or a little decoration on one of my side tables in the living room. I love the burlap and plaid. !  Lots of ideas for these pumpkins!

30. WASHINGTONS PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE.  This artwork by Arnold Friberg is gorgeous. Perfect size for over the couch, and it is a painting I have always loved. My mom wants one as well!

LOVE ME SOME AMAZON! Labor Day savings galore!

I LOVE amazon, it is no secret.  Big Labor Day sales going on over at Amazon right now and I dont want anyone to miss out!! I LOVE a good deal, I refuse to pay full price for anything to be honest.  When my husband asks "How much was it" I always tell him "Well normally it's xx.xx, but I got it for yy.yy.  Look at how much I saved!"  So when Amazon goes into sale mode, you KNOW I am all over this!

We just moved into our new house and I used Amazon almost exclusively to decorate, organize and more. 

I think the delivery drivers are tired of seeing my face and my house. For the past 8 days we have had non stop deliveries being made. Rugs, recliner, cleaning supplies, paper towel holder, organizers, end tables, picture frames and hanging hooks, knick knacks, sheets,  and everything else we left behind. (we sold all of our stuff when we moved because we didn't want to move it all the way across the country- hence buying new stuff)
